RAL Man of the Week - Christopher "Biggie Smalls" Wallace

Here at http://www.ikeepsitral.com/ we try to keep things as current as possible. but once and a while you have to reach back and go old school, and this is a bit of both. First the old school...Chris Wallace a.k.a Biggie Smalls a.k.a Notorious B.I.G a.ka. Big Papa was one of the illist rappers to ever enter the game back in the early 90's, bringing east coast hip hop to the main stream with the artist formally known as Puff Daddy. For my money, it's hard to find many rap compact discs that I'd rather listen to than Ready to Die (1994) or Life after Death (1997). He was of course gunned down in LA in March of 1997...by whom...that is still to be determined. In any case his legacy lives on as one of the best east coast rappers to ever live.

Now fast forward to the present. In an interview this week, P.Diddy (Puff Daddy as he is more famously known) admitted that in Biggie's "Ready to Die" CD the portion at the end of the Respect track, that is well know to contain audio of a man getting blown, is in fact real audio of Biggie getting a Benjamin.

Now to some this might seem a big vulgar or disgusting, but the fact is that Biggie kept it RAL his whole life (going out in a drive by is one of the more RAL ways to die), but to include something like this on a CD that sold over 4 million copies is beyond RAL. This is far better than the low lifes that release sex tapes because this was done in stealth and only released to the public 15 years after it happend...so RAL. Biggie Smalls kept it RAL while alive and also after death, so that makes him the http://www.ikeepsitral.com/ man of the week.

  1. When Guns n' Roses recorded Rocket Queen (read: orgasm backdrop) Axl Rose was nailing then-drummer Steven Adler's girlfriend in the studio... this led to Adler's continued depression and heavier use of alcohol and cocaine... which led to a cocaine-induced stroke and him getting kicked out of the group: Axl keeps it RAL.
